The 'Dune' actor threatened he'd quit acting if Villeneuve got snubbed for Best Director again, which the directed did this morning.

The nominations for the 97th Academy Awards have arrived – and, as every year, there are some pretty surprising snubs. Dune 2 was nominated for Best Picture, but director Denis Villeneuve did not receive a nomination (so I guess Josh Brolin is going to quit acting after all).

Dune: Part Two was nominated for five awards at this year’s ceremony, including Best Picture, Production Design, Cinematography, Visual Effects, and Sound. Some have taken to X to share their dismay over some areas where they think Dune: Part Two was snubbed.
