Marquette University has named Bill Scholl’s successor as director of athletics. University President Kimo Ah Yun on Tuesday announced the promotion of Mike Broeker to vice president and director of athletics, succeeding Scholl, who is retiring after 10 years at the institution.

Marquette is expected to promote Mike Broeker to athletic director, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel. Broeker has been the school's assistant AD for the past 18 years.
