Vancouver Canucks defenceman Tyler Myers was suspended three games for his aggressive cross check on Evan Bouchard, and while trying to defend himself, offered a lacklustre explanation.

Oilers star Connor McDavid and Canucks defenseman Tyler Myers both were hit with three-game suspensions for cross-checking incidents.

The Edmonton Oilers will be without Connor McDavid for the next three games. McDavid received a three-game suspension from the NHL after a hit to the head on Vancouver Canucks forward Conor Garland. The Oilers star is not appealing the suspension.
