Before ultimately dropping the titles to Private Party, plans for The Young Bucks’ most recent AEW Tag Team Championship run changed a few different times.

The Young Bucks say they had to axe an idea for their run as AEW World Tag Team Champions because of NXT. Speaking on Tunnel Talk, the Young Bucks were asked about storylines that they wanted to do that they didn’t get the chance to pull off.

When the Young Bucks, Nicholas and Matthew Jackson, finished their match at AEW x NJPW Wrestle Dynasty with their hands raised and the IWGP Tag Team Heavyweight Championships around their waists, it was a pretty big deal.
