What will be announced has not finally been decided yet. But certainly US, Korea will be announced (sic). And then that model might be available as a second (wave) launch.

The Galaxy S24 FE that could be thought of as the Slim's predecessor is 8 mm thin, which isn't as thin as the 7.2mm Galaxy S25 that just debuted. One rumor suggests that the goal would be to approximate the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which is 5.6mm thin when unfolded, but another number being floated around is 6.4mm.

Samsung spent the bulk of its Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event this year talking about its brand-new AI features. In fact, it took about 30 minutes into the presentation to get to the new S25 line of smartphones before the company once again pivoted to the new AI features packed into the phone.
