On Tuesday at 6:06 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated cold weather advisory in effect until 7 p.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie as well as Crawford County.

CHICAGO — National Weather Service officials issued a cold weather advisory in effect until 2 p.m. Tuesday for portions of central, east central and northeast Illinois as well as northwest Indiana. Officials said dangerously cold wind chills may reach as low as 28 below zero causing frostbite to those exposed to the frigid temperatures in as little as 30 minutes.

The National Weather Service issued an updated cold weather advisory at 4:22 a.m. EST on Tuesday valid from 1 p.m. EST until Wednesday 1 a.m. EST for Houghton County.

An updated cold weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 3:05 a.m. in effect until Wednesday at noon for Franklin, Perry, Dauphin, Lebanon, Cumberland, Adams, York and Lancaster counties.
