Along with the warmer weather, North Texans can expect rain returning to the forecast this weekend. There’s a 50% chance of showers and storms late Saturday, Jan. 25, followed by a 40% chance on Sunday, Jan. 26, according to the NWS. Low rain chances (20%) will continue early next week on Monday, Jan. 27, and Tuesday.
In addition to freezing fog, there is a high likelihood of black ice on roads overnight into Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
NORTH TEXAS – Snow continues to fall across North Texas after a winter storm warning was dropped early Friday morning. Several inches of a wintry mix of sleet and snow were forecast to fall over North Texas between Thursday and Friday. This marks the first winter storm of the season.
