As the Edmonton Oilers playoff push continues, Leon Draisaitl begins to prep for the biggest games of the year. Going into the final stretch of the season, Draisaitl and the Oilers look to heat up before the playoffs.

Edmonton Oilers center Leon Draisaitl is “out short term” but should return “well before” the playoffs begin after sustaining a lower-body injury against the San Jose Sharks the previous night, head coach Kris Knoblauch said Friday.

Draisaitl took a pass from Evan Bouchard and beat goalie Dustin Wolf off the rush from the right wing with 3:12 remaining in the third period. That goal tied the score and made him the NHL’s first 50-goal scorer this season.
