The Leonid meteor shower is set to delight stargazers, sending shooting stars streaking across the night sky. The Leonids – one of the more prolific annual displays – are usually fast, bright meteors and are associated with Comet Tempel-Tuttle.

Leonid meteors are a few years away from producing a storm that dazzles viewers once every 33 years, but they could still put on a show this weekend.

Look up to the night sky Friday night for November’s full moon, 2024’s last supermoon, followed by the Leonid meteor shower set to peak Saturday night into Sunday.
