The cliffhanger finale of Squid Game's second season ended with a bang. The episode Friend or Foe laid the groundwork for the final conflict, which will play out in the show's third and final season.

Netflix has announced Squid Game will return for its final season in 2025. Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk teased that the battle between Seong Gi-hun and Front Man will reach an explosive climax, following the intense events of Season 2.

But we will not have to wait another three years for season 3, thankfully, as both Netflix and creator Hwang Dong-hyuk have ensured that won’t happen by having no production breaks between seasons. The result is a season 3 of Squid Game that is much, much closer than we think.
