PRETORIA (Reuters) - The third Twenty20 International between South Africa and India was halted early in the home side’s reply after a wave of flying ants descended on Centurion Park in Pretoria on Wednesday and forced the players from the field.

The third T20I between India and South Africa was temporarily halted due to thousands of flying ants descending on the stadium. Players were asked to stop by the umpires after the first over of the second innings, with the ants making it impossible to carry on.

Laxman walked back holding up 10 fingers to the dressing room, indicating that play will resume in 10 minutes. Corpses of those insects are strewn all over over the ground but the air seems to have been cleared of them.
