We’re tracking chances for a few strong-to-severe thunderstorms Sunday before bitterly cold air arrives. Sunday will begin with clouds around and perhaps some scattered showers. An isolated thunderstorm can’t be ruled out either.

The Mid-South is still on track for our cold blast next week, but first we have storms coming our way on Sunday, and there is some potential for them to be severe as well.

Strong storms are set to arrive Sunday before an extreme cool down. A few showers and storms will arrive early on Sunday morning with a few scattered storms in the afternoon. But those won’t be as potent as the line of storms that will arrive Sunday evening.
