Puppy Bowl is returning for the 21st edition with more pets than ever. It will feature 142 rescue puppies from 80 shelters, and you'll meet some kitties, too.

The "cutest competition of the year" is back with more puppies than ever before. Here's how you can watch the the pre-Super Bowl call-to-adoption event.

All six pups were previously under the care of AHeinz57 Pet Rescue & Transport based in De Soto. Puppies from the rescue, founded by Amy Heinz, have been featured in the Puppy Bowl since 2012, she told the Des Moines Register.

While the Bears may have not made it to the big game, one local rescue puppy will be representing the City of Big Shoulders at this year’s Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet.
