Afghan Taliban forces targeted “several points” in neighboring Pakistan, Afghanistan’s defense ministry said on Saturday, days after Pakistani aircraft carried out aerial bombardment inside Afghanistan.

Thousands turned out to show their happiness and assure the Afghan military of their support against Pakistan.

Afghanistan on Saturday said that its forces hit various locations within Pakistan in retaliation for the deadly airstrikes the previous week.The Taliban Defence Ministry said that it targeted locations that "served as centres and hideouts for malicious elements and their supporters who organised and coordinated attacks in Afghanistan".
