With a storm bringing a risk of mudslides and debris flows, some areas of Los Angeles recently burned by wildfires are facing mandatory orders and warnings to evacuate their homes as the region braces for heavy rain and possible flooding.

An approaching storm that could bring thunderstorms and heavy rain prompted officials to issue an evacuation warning and close a portion of Pacific Coast Highway through the Palisades Fire burn area Wednesday.

Late-winter storms bringing heavy rain, evacuation order and warnings, flood warnings and road closures is in the forecast Wednesday for Los Angeles and Orange counties and is expected to douse the region for the next three days.
